  • Deliver and support our services, process payments, and schedule and run sessions.

  • Analyze and improve the website.
  • Measure and target our advertising, including retargeting.
  • Contact business owners about our services (section 6).
  • Prevent fraud, keep the site secure, comply with law and enforce our Terms.

We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Cookies, Pixels and Tracking Technologies

Tool Provider Purpose
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 Google Site analytics and tag management
Meta Pixel Meta Measure ad performance, build audiences, retarget
Hotjar Hotjar Heatmaps and session recordings
Strictly necessary cookies Us Make the site work and remember your choices

Your choices. A banner on your first visit lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. We load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Hotjar only after you accept. You can change your choice at any time through the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sharing and targeted advertising.

Do Not Track. There is no uniform standard for Do Not Track signals, so we do not respond to them; we do honor Global Privacy Control.

Third parties. Google, Meta and Hotjar may collect information about your online activity over time and across websites through these tools. Each provider offers opt-out controls in its own privacy settings, and Google offers the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share it with service providers that process it for us: PayPal (payments), Calendly (scheduling), Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Meet), Hotjar, MailerLite (email delivery and sign-up forms) and Hostgator (website hosting).

Advertising notice. Using Meta Pixel and similar tools to measure and target ads may count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising under some state privacy laws. You can opt out through the cookie banner, the “Your Privacy Choices” link, a Global Privacy Control signal, or by emailing webmaster@handlabdesign.com.

We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, in a merger or sale of the business, or with your consent.

5. Email Marketing

When you submit our sign-up form, you agree to receive the intake questionnaire and a short follow-up series, and occasional emails about our services. Every marketing email identifies us, includes our postal address and has an unsubscribe link. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, usually immediately. We may still send transactional messages about your booking, payment or delivery.

6. Business Outreach

We may contact business owners and professionals directly by email about our services, using business contact information from public sources such as their website, business directories and public professional profiles. These messages identify us, include our postal address and an opt-out, and are marked as advertising where the law requires. Reply “unsubscribe” or use the link and we will stop and keep you on a suppression list. We do not send marketing text messages or make marketing calls without prior express written consent.

7. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed. Email list data: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a minimal record to honor your opt-out. Payment and accounting records: as tax and accounting laws require. Analytics data: the period configured in each tool.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, such as two-factor authentication, access controls and reputable providers. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as applicable law requires.

9. International Data Transfers

We operate from Ecuador, and our providers process data in the United States and other countries, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live. By using our site and services, you understand that your information will be processed there.

10. Your Privacy Rights

If you live in California, Texas or another U.S. state with a privacy law, you may have the right to access, correct and delete your personal information, get a portable copy, opt out of targeted advertising, sale and sharing, and not be treated differently for exercising these rights. We extend access, correction and deletion requests to everyone, wherever they live.

  • How to ask: email webmaster@handlabdesign.com or use the “Your Privacy Choices” link.
  • Verification: we may confirm your identity by email before acting.
  • Timing: we respond within 45 days and may extend once by 45 more days with notice.
  • Agents: an authorized agent may submit a request with your written permission.
  • Appeal: if we deny a request, reply with “Appeal” within 60 days. We answer appeals within 60 days and explain how to contact your state attorney general.

If you are in Ecuador, you also have the rights Ecuadorian data protection law provides, exercised through the same contact.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our site and services are for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children or sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Links

Our site links to other websites and platforms. Their privacy practices are their own.

13. Changes to This Policy

We will post any update with a new date. For material changes, we will email you or show a prominent site notice at least 30 days before they take effect. We will not apply a materially different use to information collected earlier without your consent.
